Milk and Honey Magazine interview with author Catherine Parks on book empowered - point middle and high school girls to Jesus through faith, worth, confidence, and strength

Empowering Our Girls

It's hard for girls these days, huh? Middle and high schools are overflowing with insecurity, strained confidence, and the loss of worth, with only one cure – feeling empowered through Christ.

Milk and Honey Magazine interviews blogger Amanda of Thirty-Four Seven on her travels, favorite recipes, and passion for DIY projects!

Running Off Creative Energy 34/7

25-year-old Amanda Jacobson is basically the best friend you've always wanted. We're talkin' the real deal, here, gals. Not only is she a party planning extraordinaire with DIY skills comparable to Joanna Gaines, she's also highly adept in the latest fashion trends (many pieces of which were thrifted at crazy bargains) and she travels enough to have her own Travel Channel sitcom.

Milk and Honey Magazine boosts confidence in young women to know their worth in Jesus Christ!

Confidence in ☼ or ☂

We have all had those days when we don’t feel as confident as usual, and we start to wonder if we’re good enough. As women, it may seem like we are constantly comparing ourselves to others and underestimating the value we have.

Milk and Honey Magazine article with author Lauren Miller on her new book All Things New about overcoming anxiety and stress with help from Jesus!

Getting Over Panic Attacks

Struggling with anxiety/panic is hard enough, but as Christians, there’s an added level of stigma attached to it: as if our anxiousness stems from a lack of trust in God, or an immature faith.

Milk and Honey Magazine wants you, lovely girl, to CUT the distractions and find a simpler way of living. Bask in God's glory instead of tirelessly building your own!

✄ the distractions

For the longest time I thought I needed to be more organized. Then I realized I just needed less stuff.

Feeling worn down? Stressed? Overwhelmed?

Fortunately, there is a legitimate cure: cutting away the excess! We, as God's precious daughters, need to learn to narrow our choices. How often do we choose things we think are absolutely essential in this life when they’re not? Few things the world tells us are mandatory actually are mandatory!

Milk and Honey Magazine knows Jesus has a divine plan for all young women to love, serve, play, laugh, and work for God's Kingdom. He has a special mission for you, darling, just like the Bible character Esther!

Your ♚ Was Planned

"For if you keep quiet at this time... you and your father’s house will be destroyed. You likely became queen for such an opportune time as this!" Esther 4:14

God has a divine calling on your specific life; a call to love, serve, laugh, play, and work... the very things Jesus did during His 33 years as a man. God places each of us into a particular situation (through our family, circumstances, country) culminating into our sphere of influence. We can all reach a different people group, be it our friends, neighbors, parents, etc.

Milk and Honey Magazine gives advice on how to encourage your girlfriends, remove gossip from your life, and invite new friends to join on adventures! Let's be loving daughters of Jesus Christ, babe.

#Squadgoals

Ahhh…it seems like just yesterday that I was rackin’ up my mom’s credit card debt at Target, buyin’ binders, ramen noodles, and a turquoise shower caddy for my quickly approaching college adventure. I remember hoping that, in addition to earning my Bachelor’s degree, I would obtain my MRS. Degree. Although I have yet to meet my future husband, God has provided me with my future bridesmaids. Friends who, first and foremost, set my eyes on Christ when life’s distractions threaten to tear my gaze from Him.

Milk and Honey Magazine was lucky enough to catch up with the gorgeous Nicole Weider, former Maxim and Victorias Secret model, on faith, fashion, fitness, and family. (the 4 gal essentials!)

Project Inspired

Former Victorias Secret and Maxim model Nicole Weider traded in her lifestyle in the modeling world for the VictORIOUS Secret of Jesus Christ. Having started her full-time modeling career at a mere 16, she was engulfed in the fashion world for years. Having met countless celebrities and mingled with Hollywood's A-list, she knew there was something off... something missing. As she was shooting a campaign one afternoon for Maxim, it hit her: this life of "glamour" was all merely smoke and mirrors.

Milk and Honey Magazine explains the power of affirmations. Biblically, encouragement can be such a beautiful, uplifting practice. Encourage your girlfriends today, lovely princess!

Power of Affirmations

I was first exposed to the power of affirmations from my sister, Mary. I was a freshman in high school and terrified of taking my first final. I woke up the next morning to a post-it note on my bathroom mirror saying, “You can do this, G. You are smart and you are prepared.” Waking up and seeing that note changed my entire day. I believe I passed that exam largely because of the words my sister wrote, boosting my confidence knowing someone believed in me.
