Girlfriend’s Guide to Football Sunday

Whether you’re watching football curled up on your couch all Sunday long, or getting dressed up in the appropriate colors to cheer on your team at a playoff game; football seems to be an underlining theme of this season. It really is a game of strategy, teamwork, and comradery; aspects I truly love. However some things are just darn confusing, so I’m here with a timeout card, ready to break down the essence of football with our Girlfriend’s Guide to Football Sunday.

Milk and Honey Magazine lists Christian workout music, how to both pursue fitness and faith, and dressing modestly while working out at the gym to glorify Christ!

Pursuing God Thru Fitness

Exercise is an important part of staying healthy and in fact, the Bible has much to say about how we should treat our bodies. So many Christian women are hesitant about taking care of themselves and are wondering whether exercise should have a place in our lives, but as we are reminded in 1 Corinthians 6: 19-20 “Do you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own?

Milk and Honey Magazine's fitness and nutrition secrets with Amelia Andersen. She shares her passion for working out, eating healthy, and thinking POSITIVELY!

Athletics With Amelia

Want to get in shape but don't know how? That was exactly where Amelia Andersen found herself as a college student. She noticed she had gained some weight, she wasn't her usual happy self, and she wanted a change.

What did she do? Did she wallow in self-pity, crying woe is me? The opposite, in fact! Amelia took hold of her life and started working out at the gym daily and eating plenty of fruits of veggies. She cut alcohol and fast food out of her diet, and she decided to put her health first. The weight fell off, and her spirits soared!

Milk and Honey Magazine explains the importance of fitness at the gym AND loving Jesus!

Faith + Fitness = ☺

I'm a gym buff and admittedly have three gym memberships (yes, you read that correctly). At this point, daily fitness is much less of an option but a main staple. Walking through the gym doors each day, I know I'm cultivating discipline, strength, and health. Whether it's running a couple miles on the treadmill, riding my bike, swimming a mile or two, boxing, barre, or hot yoga, I love to move!

Milk and Honey Magazine fitness and nutrition tips to be healthy and happy!

Tips For Getting Fit

I’ve been dealing with struggles in weight for a long time. Growing up, I was never confident about my weight. In fact, I remember being as young as six or seven and not being comfortable in my own skin. Over the years, I have started and stopped diets, tried different exercise routines, and tried to get healthier several times. I’ve lost some weight, then gained it back, and the cycle just kept continuing in that way. It wasn’t until this year that I seriously focused on eating healthier and getting more exercise, and actually started seeing results.

Milk and Honey interviews volleyball star Taylor on her role models, faith in Jesus, and her love story!

Playing for Christ

Disney's hit movie Brave follows the adventurous Merida - a young, courageous princess - as she carves her authentic path in life and follows her destiny.

Princess Merida reminds me a lot of my friend Taylor. She's beautiful, confident, and has hair peculiarly similar to her - which is no mistake.

Taylor was used as the model at the Disney studios to create Merida’s digitized hair. They wanted Taylor's long, luscious, flowing hair to be duplicated perfectly for their princess.
