Fall, the coziest and most magical season of the year, is finally upon us! Autumn’s approach conjures up images of crisp weather, changing leaves, and stylish layered outfits.
For those of us who live in warmer locales, it can be difficult to justify wearing giant sweaters or drinking steaming-hot apple cider. But even without a chill in the air, the magic of Fall is within reach. Here are some fun ways to embrace the new season without leaving your neighborhood!
Unlike other Fall fashion trends like tall boots and puffy vests, scarves add extra style without making you overheated. Whether you’re wearing a sundress or jeans and a t-shirt, just throw on your favorite scarf for the perfect seasonal look!
Chances are, there’s a pumpkin patch somewhere in your neighborhood, just waiting for your stylish self to grace its presence. Grab a friend (or your Instagram Husband), bring a nice camera, and get ready to channel your inner 'basic.'
…or your favorite Halloween movie, or anything that gives you major Autumn vibes. Reading a book set during the Fall, like Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell, is also a great idea. Even if it’s a hundred degrees outside, you’ll feel immersed in the atmosphere of whatever you’re watching or reading.
Save money on those fancy coffee drinks! All you need is ice, a banana, some form of milk, pumpkin (either from a can or fresh from the pumpkin patch), baking spices, and a blender. The result is a drink that’s seasonal, delicious, and weather-appropriate!
Whether you live by the beach, desert, or in a city, find a place where you can walk and enjoy the local foliage. You may be surrounded by palm trees or cacti instead of colorful leaves, but simply being outside will brighten your spirits and help you appreciate the beauty in your own backyard.
What’s better than the aroma of fresh baked goods? How about enjoying that scent without the hassle or excessive heat of actually baking? The right candle will instantly transform your house into a Fall wonderland, no pots and pans required.
This is a last resort, but if you hop on a plane now, you’ll be sure to catch some gorgeous scenery. Your boss/professors/parents will surely understand… after all, this wonderful season only comes once a year!
