Be-YOU-tiful Founder

22-year-old Torunn Lee Stuen is the founder of the Beyoutiful Blog, an online fashion platform! Torunn, known among her friends as Tori or T, is drop dead gorgeous, but her appeal doesn't stop there. She is also extremely smart (a full-time student living in Atlanta studying Biomedical Engineering) and a Christian!

Ok, girl - spill! Tell us everything!

• My favorite color changes everyday (kinda seems to go with my mood)
• If I could go anywhere in the world right now, it would be Greece
• My pup, Oslo, is literally my whole world
• I collect smashed pennies from everywhere I have been
• I have one sibling, an older brother, Ford. He just moved to St. Louis & is about to start grad school
• My grandma makes the best lasagna.. It’s my all time favorite
• I believe ice cream is the most important food group (cake batter from Kilwin’s is my favorite)
• My favorite author is Karen Kingsbury (One Tuesday Morning is my favorite book by her)
• My friends would tell you that I say, “It is what it is” too much
• All time favorite movie is The Wizard of Oz
• I eat Jif Whips & a banana on a daily basis
• I can’t live without – my cell phone, pearl earrings, & my fitbit
• Diet Coke is one of my few addictions
• OCD should be my last name.. I like everything super neat & in order — my closet is color coded!!! just ask my bf  ;)
• I knit… like scarves.. every year when winter comes around I bring out the needles
• My ritual TV shows: Greys Anatomy, Scandal, How to Get Away With Murder, Quantico, The Blacklist, House of Cards, The Bachelor(ette), Secrets & Lies, & the next is to be determined (;
• I love fish & aquariums.. ever since I was a kid I have had a fish tank! I think it’s calming
• My favorite scent is Winter Candy Apple from Bath & Body Works
• My one guilty obsession is activewear.. I own too much of it
• I prefer rainy days (they make for the best naps)
• My favorite season is fall
• My fridge is always stocked with Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough
• My favorite workout machine is the Lat Pull Down
• I believe in Melatonin before bed (lets the mind rest)
• Zaxbys is my favorite fast food chicken
• Red Lipstick is my favorite
• My favorite spot in Atlanta is Cafe Intermezzo
• Ever since I was born, my grandparents give me a Swarovski crystal piece for big occasions and holidays! It’s a tradition
• Christmas is my favorite holiday
• Statement Earrings are my favorite accessory
• I prefer salsa verde over regular salsa
• I believe in magic.. and fairytales

Tell us about how/why you started your blog.

Over the years, I have acclaimed a passion for sharing my fashion, my styles, my adventures, my hobbies, my dog (Oslo), and so much more will all my beloved family, friends, and followers! Beyoutiful Blog is where I can freely express and expose all my favorite trends, styles, accessories, decor, books, recipes, etc. I find this platform to be a great creative outlet for me and a way to document my day-to-day life!

What advice do you have for women wanting to become for fashion-savvy?

Indulge in your own personal style! Wear what makes you feel comfortable and beautiful! Fashion is what we make of it!! It’s a great way to express who we are and what we are feeling! If you ever need any inspo, just use pinterest or follow @liketoknowit for the latest trends.

Faith?

I was born and raised a Christian Baptist! I am a strong believer in Christ and His word. I enjoy doing daily devotionals that relate to what’s going on my life.  My favorite verse is Isaiah 41:10 (below)!

So do not fear, for I am with you;
    do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
    I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Advice to your 15 year old self?

Love yourself! Every piece of you.. inside and out! God created us just the way He intended. Realizing that self-worth and beauty comes from within is the most important thing in becoming a strong, confident woman. 

Favorite trends?

Over-the-knee boots, all black (black denim, black top), velvet (yes… it’s coming back in!!), chunky sweaters, and scarves!

Future plans?

I am competing in the Miss Kentucky United States pageant in February! So right now I am dreaming about that. ;)
