How to (Really) Be Single
According to society, there are two types of single people.
Loner Laura: this girl lives a cursed existence as a hopeless romantic with no romantic prospects. She spends her days pining over unattainable men and crying over Nicholas Sparks movies by herself. When guys ask Laura out, her eagerness overwhelms them and often drives them away. Her desperation prevents her from evaluating if a guy is even right for her; she simply wants love and attention.
Sorority Faith
If I weren’t a Christian, I would’ve dropped my sorority a long time ago.
It may have happened towards the beginning of freshman year, when I was paired with a big who I didn’t really know. Maybe I would’ve quit my second semester, when I realized that my pledge sisters weren’t inviting me to parties because I didn’t drink. Or perhaps junior year, when I struggled through formal recruitment after studying abroad, I would’ve decided it wasn’t worth it anymore.

Waiting on "The One"
I'm a total foodie, so naturally one of my favorite things to do is cook. Not so much bake – but cook. I love cooking pesto chicken and lemon baked tilapia and roasted acorn squash and turkey meatballs and, well, basically anything nourishing and healthy.
So, yes, I like to cook. One problem I often have, however, is how expensive food can be! Especially considering I like to buy organic, healthy foods as much as possible.
Ditchin' the Crowds
The religion of this world is conformity. That being said, it's sometimes hard living as a 24 year old gal trying to find my place. I obviously don't want to be an oddball, but I want to make informed, wise decisions to pave a strong foundation for my life.
I want to be my own person and follow God's call wherever He leads no matter how silly I may look to others. But frankly, when we look closer at "normality" in todays society - they're often the silly ones.
